It is absolutely fascinating when you have just a digital camera. I cannot believe. What is its minimal focus distance when you use, for example, 100 mm focal length EQ 25mm? I suppose it is a very short distance, right? I can use 100mm focal length from one meter. It is very bad. I suppose you can use it from less than 50 cm, right?
Sorry but I can't answer this question, I've got a Bridge-Camera which shows just aperture and shutter speed, but not focal length. I just know that can use focal lenght of 25mm from 1 cm and focal lenght of 600mm from 1 m, so you might be right. For macros and close-ups I've got a close-up lens + adapter and I can work from a distance of about 50 cm, but I didn't use it for this picture.
